Wellbeing Enterprises celebrated its 18th birthday with a Kindness Campaign in Halton. The trailblazing health and wellbeing organisation, marked this milestone by spreading kindness throughout the community.

Wellbeing Enterprises CIC is one of the longest-running Community Interest Companies (CICs) in the UK and over its 18-year history has supported more than 60,000 people in improving their health and wellbeing. Their work includes providing "social prescriptions" to help individuals overcome challenges like loneliness, the cost-of-living crisis, or family difficulties plus much more. Additionally, the organisation co-facilitates community courses and wellbeing activities, helping people foster new skills and connections to lead better lives.

Mark Swift, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer, explained, “The Kindness Campaign was a wonderful opportunity for us all to say a big thank you to everyone who has shown us kindness over our 18-year history, such as patients and the public, partner agencies, and our funders.”

The weeklong birthday celebrations began with a social media campaign where the Wellbeing team shared "top tips" for spreading kindness in the community. Furthermore, the organisation embarked on various acts of kindness across the Halton borough. This included providing cream tea sets to all 700 plus care home residents in Halton, distributing flowers to individuals nominated for their kindness through the Halton Community Champions initiative, and offering free hot drinks to people in local cafes throughout Widnes and Runcorn where the community was also able to chat to the Wellbeing Link Workers about their wellbeing

Mark emphasized, “Lots of little acts of kindness can make a big difference in people's lives in our community. We aimed to use our 'coming of age' birthday to spread as much kindness as possible.

Terri, from Nightstop Communities Northwest CIC, was nominated as a Halton Community Champion and received a bunch of flowers for her dedication for providing emergency accommodation and support services in Halton, stated: "Thank you Wellbeing Enterprises. This is truly appreciated and a wonderful surprise... I am hugely honoured and grateful for being recognised for something I love and am truly passionate about"
