Simon secured his home and is actively looking for work
When Simon’s mother died unexpectedly, he didn’t know how he would afford the rent on his family home. With support from his Wellbeing Link Worker, Simon accessed welfare advice and secured some financial assistance. This gave Simon the breathing space he needed to grieve for his mother and adjust to his circumstances.
Simon is now actively looking for work. “My life changed so suddenly and I didn’t think I could cope, but with support from my Link Worker I was able to break down my problems and tackle them one by one. I feel things are getting better each day now”.
Margaret now feels safe in her community and has a wellbeing plan in place
Antisocial behaviour in Margaret’s neighbourhood had left her feeling unsafe. This contributed to panic attacks and frequent visits to her local A&E department. With help from her Wellbeing Link Worker, Margaret contacted her local Community Support Officers who carried out regular patrols. The antisocial behaviour quickly subsided.
Margaret developed a plan to boost her wellbeing which entailed keeping in touch with loved ones, continuing with her gardening and eating regular meals. The self help guides she received had lots of top tips for managing anxiety. “I know exactly who to contact if this were to happen again. I’m in control now” explains Margaret.
