Wellbeing Enterprises recognised among the UK’s top 100 social enterprises creating social impact
Wellbeing Enterprises CIC has received national recognition through inclusion in the SE100 Index 2026 and the inaugural Pioneers 100 list, celebrating leading social enterprises and impact leaders from across the UK.
The recognition highlights the organisation’s commitment to improving health and wellbeing through prevention, social innovation and community-led partnership working across the North West and beyond.
The SE100 Index, published annually by Pioneers Post, recognises the UK’s top 100 social enterprises creating significant social impact, while the newly launched Pioneers 100 list celebrates individuals and organisations helping to shape the future of social enterprise and impact-led leadership in the UK.
The organisation was also shortlisted in three categories at the NatWest SE100 Impact Pioneer Awards 2026, including the Public Sector Pioneer Award, which recognises social enterprises working with bold commissioners to deliver innovative solutions. The nomination reflected Wellbeing Enterprises’ partnership work with NHS Cheshire and Merseyside Integrated Care Board, including the delivery of social prescribing services in Halton focused on improving wellbeing, prevention and community connection.
The national recognition reflects the collective efforts of staff, volunteers, participants, commissioners and partners who continue to work together to create healthier, more connected communities.
Mark Swift, Founder and CEO at Wellbeing Enterprises CIC, said:
“We are incredibly proud to be recognised alongside so many inspiring organisations and leaders from across the UK social enterprise sector.
This recognition reflects the passion and dedication of our staff, volunteers, participants, partners and commissioners who work with us every day to support communities and improve wellbeing.
At a time when prevention, community resilience and reducing inequalities are more important than ever, it is encouraging to see community-led approaches being recognised nationally. We remain committed to working collaboratively with our partners to create lasting social impact and healthier futures for local communities.”
For Wellbeing Enterprises, the recognition reinforces the value of partnership-based approaches that place people and communities at the centre of improving wellbeing outcomes.
Over the past year, the organisation has continued to work alongside NHS partners, local authorities and VCSE organisations to deliver innovative programmes focused on prevention, inclusion, community connection and social value.
The achievement reflects not only the work of Wellbeing Enterprises, but also the wider network of partners, volunteers and residents helping to drive positive change locally and nationally.
