WELLBEING ENTERPRISES CIC AND WARRINGTON & HALTON TEACHING HOSPITALS NHS FT SHORTLISTED FOR THE 2025 HSJ PARTNERSHIP AWARDS

Wellbeing Enterprises CIC is delighted to announce that Long Covid Service has been shortlisted for Most Effective Contribution to Improving Care for those with Long Term Conditions at the HSJ Partnership Awards, recognising an outstanding dedication to improving healthcare and effective collaboration with the NHS.

Now in their eighth year, the HSJ Partnership Awards have become the most recognised and respected mark of the strongest relationships between suppliers and the NHS.

Following the thorough judging process, Wellbeing Enterprises CIC was included in 180+ organisations, projects and individuals that made the final shortlist amid 280+ entries logged for the 2025 awards programme.

Working collaboratively, Wellbeing Enterprises CIC and Warrington NHS FT have co-designed a Long Covid Service with patients adopting a biopsychosocial model of care. Link Workers integrated with the clinical team provide holistic assessments of needs/strengths and co-develop/implement Personalized Wellbeing Plans. We’ve supported 252 patients so far with robust evidence of sustainable health outcomes. Patients have access to social prescriptions like bibliotherapy resources, NHS approved Apps, self-help groups and wellbeing activities. This service is an excellent example of an NHS and social enterprise health innovation which is improving health outcomes for patients with this long-term condition and building strengths/capabilities.

Mark Swift, Founder and CEO at Wellbeing Enterprises CIC comments, “I’m over the moon Wellbeing Enterprises CIC has been shortlisted alongside NHS Cheshire and Merseyside (Halton Place). It is a huge boost for our dedicated and hard-working team.

Wellbeing Enterprises is delivering demonstrable improvements in health and wellbeing by helping people to help themselves overcome challenges, build their capabilities and live a valued, dignified life”.

Dr David Lyon, GP and Clinical Lead for Long Covid Service said: “Wellbeing Enterprises CIC has been the cornerstone of therapy for the Long Covid Service in Halton and Warrington from the very start. Wellbeing Enterprises provides vital psychosocial support to distressed people whose lives have been turned upside down, physically, financially, socially and psychologically. They measure outcomes diligently and are able to demonstrate the positive impact they have. Wellbeing Enterprises help people with Long Covid to manage their condition better, rather than the condition overwhelming them. They have proven themselves to be an integral and essential part of the service.”

The selected winners will be announced during the awards ceremony at Evolution London on 20th March 2025.
