Staff and volunteers at a social enterprise based in Runcorn, Cheshire are celebrating after they were chosen as one of the 50 most radical organisations changing the UK for the better.

Wellbeing Enterprises CIC has made the New Radicals list which is a search led by Nesta, the UK’s innovation foundation, and The Observer to find the top people, projects and organisations offering innovative ways to tackle social challenges. It was launched in 2012 and was run again in 2014.

Wellbeing Enterprises CIC provides health and wellbeing services in Halton, Knowsley and St Helens and has been operating for 11 years. Their mission is to create healthier, happier communities by providing projects that promote wellbeing and build resilience. They have directly supported more than 18,000 people to date.

Mark Swift, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer said “We’re thrilled to have been included in the New Radicals list. I’d like to thank all our staff, volunteers and supporters over the years who have helped us to spread our wellbeing message”.

“We’re creating a social movement for wellbeing, by helping communities to come together during difficult times and supporting people to reconnect with their skills and talents”.
